‘Heavy-handed’ cops slammed after new COVID-19 fines data emerges.
Victorians are paying a bigger price than other states because of the response to coronavirus – not just in terms of lockdowns, but also fines. One of Australia’s leading economists has labelled Victoria a police state, saying millions of dollars were paid in COVID-19 fines – more than the other states combined.
